Until I can afford to get my Logi wheel repaired, I'm stuck using my X360 wheel on my PC.   A little while ago I stumbled on a post here detailing some good settings for the X360 wheel. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it now, and after multiple searches I've still come up dry. Can anyone provide me with a link to that post?

I had to throw in the towel on this wheel - no matter what tweaking combinations I tried for the various sensitivities it never felt right. Yesterday I finally repaired my aging Logitech Formula Force GP and the results were night and day. Not to mention that the FF GP, unlike the X360 wheel when used on the PC, has force feedback. The steering for the X360 wheel was far too sensitive and the dead zone too wide. The X360 handheld controllers work very well when used on the PC via the Microsoft wireless receiver, but it looks like they really dropped the ball with the PC driver for the racing wheel.

I'm not surprised, I think 90% of the activity this wheel gets from any owner is in Forza 2 on the X360 with the remainder divided amongst DiRT, Grid and Race Pro. The wheel does perform very well when running Forza 2 on that console - in fact it gives superior control than my aging Logitech does with GTL or GTR2 on my PC. The funny thing is, if I used the standard X360 controller for GTL, it would probably give superior control to any other PC handheld controller - such is the extent to which Microsoft flubbed the wheel driver.
Now if they could just implement physics with the fidelity of GTL or GTR2 in Forza 2. Of course that would probably give those F2 drivers who think they're uber skilled a brain hemorrhage.

Anyhoo...at least they'll be a footnote here in this forum noting the futility of using this wheel.
