Problem joining SJ GTL server

Hi guys,

I tried to join a GTL server, to see how the online stuff works in GTL....tis all new to me this stuff.

I tried to join one of the 2 SJ GTL servers. Both were showing Imola. I could join one, but the other one said track not installed.
I tried another non SJ server later that was showing it had Hockenheim GP running and got the same error.

Any idea whats causing this?

If the server is running a track that you dont have installed it just gives you name of one that you do have instead.If you get me.So for example if it was Watkins Glen it might show to you as Imola or any track that you do have.Server 2 is on kyalami atm which you probably dont have.

Yes, you're right Mario.  I think, in those cicumstances, GTL shows the name of the track you last loaded.

If you look in the Server Status thread, Sandy, you'll see which track is on the server...  If it is on the SJ server then you will definately find it in the SJ downloads section.  :)

Hmm no istanbul in downloads section that i can see and its listed for server 1.

Am enjoying the Capri right now.. good fun.

actually only napping i was doing was making the same mistake Sandy did
i went looking for Istanbul and NOT MR_DutchDevil ISTANBUL v1.0 as it is listed in the downloads  :biggrin: :biggrin: http://www.simjunkies.org/Forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item103 it's been there since September lol


my excuse is it's early in the morning after a rough night and Sandys i gues is she is tired after all that fast driving  :biggrin: :biggrin:

errm, thanks Ian. Yeah you are right, i wasnt loooking for Mr Dutchdevil, didnt know he did that one. I will run with that excuse you gave me though.. I have a feeling I can use that for months to come  lol

yep sure is . Simjunkies Oceanic in the lobby,I am not sure if Riven has set this weeks track for us yet will check with him today.Most of us usually try to have a bit of a praccy session and a couple of races Friday night kinda between 8-10.
