What the heck!
I thought by now I would have earned enough to buy me some nice new old NSU's!
Apparently not.

So I went and looked at the cheat thingy at Nogrip.

Applying the unlock all cars thingy seems to require a new profile and then that profile gets all the cars.
I don't want that. I want to keep my old profile and still buy back the GT500's, Healey 100's and stuff that I had to sell to be able to buy the NSU's.

Anyone have any idea?

create a new profile.. then copy "garage.gar" to your old profiles folder.. :)
(i think it also required renaming and copying "username.gal" file but im not sure what it even does..)

I remember doing this few times in the past. (backup first of course, so that if something goes wrong you cant blame me)

I have a bad issue with GTL also.. Starforce caused my windows7 not to boot and it had to repair itself.. so cant kick in my GTL serial.. = no online..

I think this was already discussed in the windows 7 thread. You can't get Starforce to work in windows 7 (at least not the SF version GTL has), so the only possiblity is to use the 'no-cd patch' which can be found on gamecopyworld  :innocent:

Thanks guys.. i remembered that someone installed the no-cd patch instantly after game and therefore didnt punch in their cd key and that caused problems..
apparently i was wrong.. i could get online without problems.. and had a quick test on the server with the NSU.. most enjoyable combination!

That was me... weird thing about it is like you, I connected once without issue but the second time when I went to multiplayer I got the invalid CD Key error. I didn't have to uninstall the patch or anything, just launch the game from CD and enter the code. Re-Launch with patch, all has been well since  :)

Well.. when i try to launch it from the dvd.. it wants to reboot my computer to finish the installation.. but never boots.. and windows 7 is forced to repair itself..
so i can never actually enter the serial... bugger me, i hope it works online still.

If you are dual booting Jarkks, try installing in xp and then just linking to it in W7... I'm sure I've done something similar (vista/XP) in the past and it worked (I know perhaps it shouldn't due to registry entries etc. but like the affinity settings for GTL .. it just does :) ....maybe  )

Tried it again and was forced to do a system restore.. no more, no more. I guess i wont be playing GTL online then.
(thank god had a restore point only couple hours from now..)

You can manually edit ANY car price by opening the ".CAR" file with notepad. At the bottom will be "VALUE=". 
I like paying $1.
