Grinn.. indeed monaco... just not the 79... note the chicane

It's the rallycrossmod... i was looking for the Historic Rally Car mod that jarkko and me used to drift, cant find it! So after finding the Rallycrossmod.. and it's 2 updates.. (you have to wait till your 1 download is finished before you are abliged to download the next grrr).
Some mentions in the comments i found, ill post one here: (before Rfc becomes whatchamacallit..)
What superb fun these cars are, sideways action is brilliant. I did have a few files go bing when loading the tracks and have found three files with typing errors that people can easily put right using Notepad. Pauli Silvenoinen error is caused by an error in rxYMETRO.gen, the line with Yellow_Wheel_rr_b.gmt should read Yellow_Wheel_rr_a.gmt Rob Gibson error is in rxRGYMETRO.gen, again it is the yellow wheel reference. Seppo Niitymarki error is that the file Niity does not exist. The error is in file Niity205.gen and is caused by the lines in the LOW CAR section, line NIITY _CHASSIS_A.gmt, delete the space after Niity, so it reads NIITY_CHASSIS_A.gmt Thanks for the mod........just the best ohyah.. and the linkylink
http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=RallycrossThe only thing i changed is steeringlock to 40 degrees.. so you can keep a drift once your are in one:
the secrets of getting her to drift.. ehr.. think it's become sort of natural now... take OFF the tractioncontrol and all that other nonsence... Keep the invulnerability (i got tired after replacing the car everytime to get a good lap in, took me about 30.. doh! and still not faultless) but also the automatic clutch.. it's hard enough as it is and if you floor it before you change gears, well.. nothing will happen..

.. take em off once yer capable of something in the cars..
Download a track like slotpark for practice.. it has nice wide turns.
or even the denver streetcourse.. i think it was i practiced on earlier..it's pretty wide.. but still has walls.. hehe
The idea is to not go to fast into a corner as your tires haven't got enough grip, brake well at forehand and try to wiggle the wheel.. see where that gets you.. the body should start to wiggle as well.. as soon as the corner is visible steer for the inside so the car is GOING to point towards the inside.. then simply floor it ... possibly come off the throttle a bit to direct the drift.. if you are going to the inside too fast, you've turned the car too far, make the angle shallower by steering outward.. as soon as you go OFF throttle you should regain control, loose speed.. if you step on the brakes during a sideways slide, the forces of nature will just take over and you'll slide possibly out of control.. but sometimes funnily sideways to a stop.. (helps if you think you are going to crash into the corner of a wall... slamm the brakes and see that corner move outtof your way! haha)
The handbrake... hmm.. well.. actually in those two laps i DID use the handbrake.. assign a button for it, but remember that when you are going off the autoclutch that your engine might stall.
Listen for the amount of handbrake to the sound whilst in the tunnel.... that's how little handbrake is needed, you should however yank the steeringwheel in the direction you want to go by that time..
It's quite difficult to some, others pick it up right aways.. if you need any help, let me know and we'll have a practicesession together.
Edit.. thanks Ivan, i remember you tried it before i think on that slotpark track.. dont remember if you liked it though.. definately you like watching it.. hahaha
Forgot to add, Jarkko just puts the brakebias more forward to get the same effect to kick the rear out whilst flooring the throttle
