Very generous of you Jason. I'm Ok for a mainboard myself, but here's hoping this will fit in nicely with somebody's build plans  :hats off:

It's a socket 775 motherboard, so if you can get an Intel C2D cpu and some DDR2 memory you can upgrade your system Ted  :)

Yeah, give it to Teddy. Then when the lads go to Goodwood, they can build him a PC. Film it for SJTV.

Hell, if I could afford the shipping overseas, I'd even send my old 9800GT

That is mighty kind of you Jason.  Sounds like Ted can use it.

Seeing as we'll have a bunch of Junkies crashing at his place, he should have plenty of drunken hands to help get it together...  wait maybe that's not such a good idea.  lol

Ok, sounds like Steady Teddy needs a newer data base, if Jason supplies the motherboard, what other equipment(drives, cables,DVD's,PSU,case, fans,Gfx card, etc) would we need to get 'er up and running?
And with team SJ at the ready to meet for Goodwood, it might be cool to have it assembled by those meeting at Ted's, "Live from Goodwood..PC building skills while sunburnt and snockered"  :hmm:...... maybe not a great idea, but certainly entertaining  :rotfl: Let's make a list and see what we have that will work  :toast:

Kevin.

Yes, someone who knows better than me.  (Probably everyone)  What else would be needed in order to make this a fully functional system for Teddy bollox?

When is exactly Goodwood? I can supply a 9800GT but won't be able to send it until my pension shows at the end of the month.

Okay, so he needs what? hard drive, DVD drive, ??

I got Ted's address and will be sending the 9800GT end of the month but if it's not there by Goodwood, this might be an idea as he can install the 9800 when it gets there. I see the Revival is sept, 18thish so shouldn't be a problem.

i can collect, drive down and help put the bits together. ive got some arctic silver paste and the nouse to build it.
but we need Ted to let us know what specs he has now, i imagine most will be reusable apart from cpu and ram. wut yer got Teddlington?

Just a Update, i got another ide harddrive to go with it , it`s only 40 gig but its a spare. the dvd optical drive is here as is the 80 gig sata hd, i also got a keyboard and mouse just in case  , ive got 2 x 2gig mem but one of them is faulty and don`t know which cos i mixed them up so will send both to give you something to do lol . ive checked the 512m graphic card for 24 hours and its working fine. my new motherboard has come and graphic card so just waiting on the water cooler now. All we need now is a proccessor and a power supply which i hope someone has got a power supply kicking around somewhere . I am guessing ted`s pc is not that upto date  so i hope we get the other parts.thx for everyone who is helping out in this little endevor.
