Did some Active Sky -assisted FSX again today...  thought our clouds looked good today, except.. i let them simmer for about 2 hrs reading the forum and the stormfront already moved out of our country onto hamburg (northern Germany)... but not to worry.. with ASA i found that it was kinda naughty weather in Florida, specially northern florida.. found winds upto 35 knots... did a landing at St Augustine in heavy crosswind... good fun  :P

Allthough the monitors dont match, it looks bloody impressive!   ONly trouble is.. whilst landing... you gotta tilt your head to either look to the left or to the right of the centrebeam (one side of the smaller monitor i've got placed more forward).... but for the rest it's.... it's... AWSOME!

OK, now I'm lost.
You have two monitors, yet a wide screen picture that has no beam or is that edited?

It's not a photograph Cas... it's a screen shot .. taken 'internally' :)

Ah.
But then what is the difference in what one actually sees and what the computer can produce, widescreenwise let's say?

I'm ready to be corrected here... but, as far as I know, the software talks to the gfx card which compiles an image in it's frame buffer.... geometry, shading, textures. The picture is created at the required resolution ..3360 x 1050 in Frank's case. It then pushes it out to the display(s), using tribal magic to split it over the monitors.
The screen shot is taken from the frame buffer before it ever becomes pixels or illuminated crystals.

... I think :)

Grinn... Pete's right.. With help of the nvidia settings it has managed to transform itself somehow to roughly the same resolution providing one long line of screen devided over 2 screens (one large, one smaller, but both widescreen)   indeed with the setting of the screens you get the beam in the middle for your eyes to see, yet the screenshot portrays this as one large screen.

I'm sorry i cant make a picture of the setup as my camera is broken.. and there wont be a new one untill .. well.. about goodwood i guess

I'm running FS10 with Vista at full res. and have no problems...I've installed some add-ons, but not many...Mostly just try to fly out of the local airport into a smaller one...sometimes I head over to the folks' house down in Arkansas just for fun...Haven't played much, but I enjoy the missions the most...
