Hey stein, is that the same plane as involved in the KLM & PAN AM Tenerife Disaster? This makes for an interesting read if you've not heard of the incident in question...

That wasn't me m8...  and.. ahem.. no clue..

i know the tenerifi "incident" began because of big-headedness and sence of rush (stress) cuzz of aircraft delays.. we'll they got de-LAYED alright.

Boom.

Woof  ~ Woof

dunno if it's the same plane, it certainly is the same model as theyve been operating these for numerous years..

Yessir.. but the strangest thing is happening... think it's the vidcard tho...

one time i can run full out no problem.. nice and smooth.. and the next time i run full out (i mean with adon scenery and a weather program) and i get jaggedy edges on the wings and fuselage... think the 8800GTS 320mb still has some bugs..
Was trying to download some nvidia drivers fer it, but .. well.. the site froze on me.. twice!   Gonna find some other way..

the only thing i'm noobish about is that little fact that i've got a dual core processor... but xp... so i would need the 64 bit graphics drivers right?!
But it isn't xp64 (or was that just bogus information i stored in my brain after all that time?!)

it'll be the 64bit i woulda thought... 32bit systems are old now pal...

I also think that the latest nVidia drivers would do, there not specific to GFX card, are they???

Now i'm financially ruined, thx to shordy for showing me the parts and telling me i "need" them... but i guess ill get over it soon enough

20th is payday.. bbut that's a saterday.. so it'll be here the 19th.... now lets pay off my creditcard first

Then in a month think about donating.... and ehm... oh yah.. buy FSx if it's working on this machine i'd like the "deluxe" version and probably.. gtr2.. and ... -****ahem.. *****      ***COUGH**** (that big cough included  race 07)   probably

Frankie, you could do worse than having a look at nHancer

I use the 4xs combined mode anti-aliasing on all the racing games (although you can set up different profiles for each if you wish) ... set negative LOD to 'clamp' and set vSynch = on

The received wisdom is that combining SuperSampling with Multisampling shouldn't work for 8xxx cards .. all I can say is that (for me) I've used every permutation and this looks the best and gives superb FPS.

Note: I am perfectly happy to be guided down the path of wisdom  regarding these things... the above is just from experimentation (reading didn't work lol)

There is a bonus in that you can fiddle with something in nHancer while the game is minimised and alt-tab back to see the effect immediately.

These are not mine, but are recent screens from FSX Acceleration addon that feature the Reno and RedBull Air Racing aspects of the addon.

Been playing FSX a fair bit lately & thought I might show a few screenies of my new Qantas Airbus A380-800 I just bought  hahahaha.

shes a handful no doubt - but it's a challenge - in the shots I'm flying it from Brisbane Int. Airport to Christchurch New Zealand (as thats where the wife & I are off to next year) to check out their service.  lol

Anyway, can't leave it on auto-pilot too much longer have to prepare for a NZ landing - over & out.

cheers
Jeff

P.S. Will post some pics of the landing later.

Been doing some IL2 V4.05m with Jestur and JD of late, those that have 1946 can easily swap versions and would love to have some more company !!
