Making music is one of my MANY, MANY, MANY hobbies. Told y'all I had a lot.

I'm DECENT, but nowhere near the best. Here are three of my original pieces (I use MIDI still, but I run it through a high-quality soundfont)

http://www.box.net/shared/nkss1j8zoo - I actually won a contest at Gamefaqs.com with this one once, however I didn't need the prize, so it kind of nullified the win, but it was pretty cool nonetheless. Supposed to be looping game music.

Star Trek, Star Wars, Andromeda, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica (haven't watched the latter two, but I KNOW I'd like 'em if I caught 'em.). So, this song was an attempt to capture the "essence" of space shows like that, inspired by a ship design I made in Paint/GIMP ( http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/Draconiator/GenerationshipVictoryFinal.jpg ).

I also wanted to compose professionally for video games, but my own damned cynicism kept me from doing that...Too bad too, that is what I had my heart set on.

Thx Casper yeah I should but never had the confidence
to do it more often,one day i'll try again if I get the nerve
up to do it. My mother was trained singer soprano she sang at a lot of clubs in Wales and England and church choir etc. I really like jazz singers the complexity of that singing is amazing to me. You guys can sing like that wonderful voices much admired here. Thx M8

Here's my latest, Rock Steady, by Bad Company.

There's a bunch of new stuff on this.

I found some cool mixing instructional videos and am trying some of the techniques I
saw.
First is using an analog channel plugin on my master out bus. that's to add some life into the mix that the digital recording takes out. I'm trying to get better at mixing but I'm still pretty bad.

next is a guitar synth plugin called realstrat. Adding to that, I output its sound to guitar rig. The guitar parts on this are all from a cheesy midi file from the net. In fact everyting on it is except the bass. Everythings re-routed thru VST's to give the final result.

I used my Fender Jazz Bass on this (the yellow one) and the ampeg amp plugin set to an old svt and a 8x10 cab

The mix is sill off, my ears are tired so I'm quitting here before I do something stupid.

My first rip!

It's a song I made together with one of my pupils. (he sings)
Don't mind the technique ok, it's about the song.

He came up with the poem by Lord Byron, She walks in beauty.
Then he made a melody, we refined it together and I wrote the chords to it.

At the moment we have a new project.......he came with a 3 pages poem by Edgar Alan Poe!
We'll work it out though, hahaha!
