I have never agreed with change just for the sake of change so an evolution is fine but the lack of sequential seems a de-volution! Not that I use it as I think cars with auto trannys...well..um.....anyways....
But seriously. I wonder if the change of that might help with the "no-reverse problem" as mine lost reverse in like 4 days.
I'd have no use for the shift lights, seems kinda' gimmicky but all in all, an update is acceptable. maybe a complete revamp would put the G-25/7 in to high a price bracket and with the fanatec, they now have competition. or will once the Fanatec (possibly) gets accepted beyond the video gamers.
I do wonder though if Logitech has shot themselves in the foot by merely updating as before the G-25 was a MASSIVE step up from the DFP, as I myself discovered, but I wonder now if when someone asks advice on a forum id the "oldtimers/experienced" will just say "Buy a leftover/used G-25 as it's essentially the same wheel".
I dunno, I guess eventually there will be fewer and fewer working G-25s due to attrition but...........
I think too this depends on how they price it.
Hopefully, if my wheel ever dies, it will be a long time from now and I'll already have CST pedals and so won't be buying a G-25/G27 wheel just for the "wheel" part. Also since I have the SST shifter and actually use the sequential feature as a handbrake. So whether
I'M interested or not is irelevent so my thinking is towards someone coming in.
And agreed with Giz about the ffb in the brake pedals of the fanatec but I seem to recall no games actualy support it yet? I'd have been happy with it merely being part of the ffb itself.

Don't like the pedals on the Fanatec as they look like fly swatters to me and the wheel itself, well, not an "airbag wheel" fan. I wonder how hard it would be to replace it?
Has anyone started mdding the Fanatec yet? I think the key to the G-25's success in the sim community is the ease of modding it.
