Farming wheat in Canada

Here are some shots I took of my dad, brother & myself on our family operation.

 COOL! You guys get such neat toys!!
 I miss living in farm country.

 City boy goes to help the farmers haying. "Gloves? What'll I need gloves for?"

 8 hours later. "Wow, there's a LOT of blood in our hands eh?"

 Den notices the farmers don't wear shorts on hot days whilst haying........learns how fast a pair of jeans can look like something one wears to a punk concert!!

 Den moves to the country. Notices the "backward rednecks" all drive old RWD cars and full sized pickups. Chuckles in know it all fashion.

 Later that same month he sees what happens to your average riceburner when it collides with a deer, moose, etc.

 Lightbulb in head goes off.

 "OH!!!"

 After 12-15 hours working straight. "Go home? why? There's still a good 6 hours of daylight left."

It's a fun job. Until we get out and spread the Moo Poo  :innocent: Neighbors aren't so friendly :grr: to you anymore

 Especially near Mount Forest a few years ago when they were spreading HUMAN waste!! man that stunk!!

We're located right off the 401, last exit before Quebec.  We are right on the border but still in Ontario.  That suits me well; I can just hop over to Quebec at a depanneur & pick up beer anytime of the week (including Sundays) until 11pm.

BTW, in that first picture, that's my brother Dem R. Biggins filling up our silo.  We haul it off to the port in Prescott Ontario.
You might also be able to make out my dad, Major Biggins, in the combine.  I'm in the 4640 filling up the tractor-trailer.

 So, you're near the "twin truckstops" lol Spent a night at the "English" one in 1986 whilst hitch hiking cross country.

 Didja get that "weather" yesterday? I recall it was headed east. Tore roof off and upturned cars here. Last time Toronto actually had any "weather" was 1985 apparently and the 70s before that.

 Of course the idiots phoning the TV station last night about how scared they were weren't "scared" enough to not use their stupid phones while driving!!

We are just north of those truck stops.  Back in 1986 there was a drive-in there which showed skin flicks on Saturday nights.  I was 16 & could sometimes catch a glimpse when I was on top of our silos. :P
Imagine the size of those breasts on a giant screen from 1 mile away - Big Biggins! :yes:
