Orange Box: Team Fortress 2
« on: October 13, 2007, 11:53:46 am »
Anyone else tried this yet? TF2 anyways. I got a great deal. My store had it priced at $49.99 but the numbnuts that work in electronics couldn't find the copies. So I went to Circuit City and they had it priced at $39.99. When the chick rang it up she got some kinda error that it was priced wrong but I pitched a fit becasue they had it marked at $39.99 and thats what I got it for. haha.

Anyways TF2 is pretty fun. Typical fps stuff, but it has a whimsical look to it. Cartoonish. And the character classes have cool unique abilities. I am enjoying it. I haven't tried HL: Episode 2 yet. Its pretty taxing on my aging box though.

Im one of the guys who played the original TF for ages.. I wish they would release a box for me who has HL2 and EP1 already.. (Not to mention the other valve games..) I dont want to get the box but i dont want to pay for Portal, EP2 and TF2 separately either.. time will show. If the balance and gameplay is as good as in original TF and i really like the visual style they chose, should be great fun! Surely will buy at some point..  :)

:)

got the orange box,

HL2:ep2 = great fun (esp if your a fan of the HL series) but like ep1 seems very short, love the new car in it tho, still think its worth playing.  oh and the hunters = evil sneaky ******

TF2 = well this one seems to lock up on my pc (with the repettitive sound error :( ), might be cos i have to turn everything on low as i get the running out of os paging memory on ep 2 and portal (not so much on portal)

portal = fun, but no fighting, more of a puzzle solving game with some humour thrown in, and relates to black mesa every now and then (ep 2 reffers to the research facility in portal as well as other things ;)  )

Yeap, I'm one of those that played Quake1:TF to death :)

Loving TF2.. the balance is pretty good, just a few minor tweaks are required IMHO, but I am having as much fun as I did in the Quake1:TF days gone by

My fav class in TF2 atm = :burn him:
