OK BOYS.

I like this one.
The demo contains one map(wich is quite big, like biggest BF maps)
you play as either humans or strogg(if you have played quake 4 you know)
options are the same as BF2, and the demo supports online gaming aswell as against boots.
it is worth a shot and i do guess that most computers can play the game. it is not much more demanding than BF2 is on the system. maybe a bit.

it looks imo better that BF2, and it should since it has been put alot of work into it and there is effort to make this the "new" online fps game. It could very well be it aswell just because it has alot of BF2 features just in a "new" shell. And i like it.

http://www.itavisen.no/joonas/addFile.php?file=ETQuakeWarsDemoSetupFINAL.exe&title=Enemy%20Territory%3A%20Quake%20Wars

this should get you to the norwegian site for downloading. the demo was released here yesterday and you do not need to sign up for a key like you had to in the open beta.

and for you who do not understand norwegian. if the demo do not download by clicking the link then right clik on what appears on the window as this and click "save"
that should get you going. if not i am sure that a quick google will set you right. i got full speed download from that link (430 down) so that should be alright.

see ya on the battlefield boiiiiiiis

One cool feature is when you die the Strogg can asume your identity. Meaning you may have to hunt down and kill yourself. I had this happen last night. I didn't relize it could happen until I saw I was killed by Monticus. That was a wake up call, I've never had to hunt myself before

In old Enemy Territory there were spies that was discovered by them having your name on.. dunno whats the case here. Played this a bit last night.. few thoughts.

I do like...

-The fact that they have definitely left lot of the old gameplay, theres lot of features that are great but have never been used in any other shooter than old ET and not this.
-The races are not straight copies of each other
-Lots of graphical options to make the game run better

I didnt like..
-It seemed like the map was bit linear, definitely no match for excellent ET maps.
-Alternative objectives and advancing possibilities missing.. for example on one map of ET, first you had to escort a tank (it moved always when friendly was close to it), repair a bridge to get it over, escort it to one big door to get further, and/or explode second passage to next objective. then escort it to enemy base to blow the wall.. then optionally escort it even bit further to get a second route to base, or just start putting pressure with the one passage to the enemy base)
-Maybe some classes are bit inbalanced.. the strogg jumper dude seemed bit over powered.. tossing those mines which dont require high accuracy around seemed very powerfull
-It seemed bit tacky even when my minimum fps was 50.
-It just didnt make that much of an impression.. Theres lots of features i love but i dont know.. maybe its just the futuristic theme that doesnt give me the shizzle but somehow im not too exited.. in fact.. im much more tempted to install old ET again! lots of ppl still play it :yep:

Well.

not sure of my complete opinion as of yet, but i will definately go buy it when it is released.
Futuristic??? well yes, Strogg are aliens but not that much different from mankind anyway. Lots of features that needs to be practiced in different classes to make the gamplay better.
I believe that when the full game is released, it will contain more info on different things(i hope) what to use when and how to and so on.
I find that the maps look good and you might wanna thing a bit different than you do in BF series, and if you have a good squad on comms you should have a good advantage.
Campaign/mission based gameplay i do like!!!

Things you need to do requires that you atleast have one of each caracter with your team to complete missions. wich gives the "provide cover" for techs when they build and fix things so you can move on with the mission, a bit more sence then just for fun.

Have not explored the Strogg caracters to much, so i cannot say much there, but i do like GDF. and i think and hope that there is variety in the maps wich gives advantage for the different classes.
shotgun is not much to use in open landscape so i think you know what i meen.
I do like the sniper rifle in this game.
accurate and somewhat diffuclt at the same time.
Downside is that you still have crosshairs when not zooming, wich gives you a big advantage even though fire rate is slow. it is powerfull.

Graphics are good i think. do not know what it looks like when turned down but i run it high(not max) and i then find it to be smooth and good looking.
But i do think there will be patches to sort out minor things that i have not found yet.
Being new to enemy territory gameplay, i do not see the features that old player recognizes, but i think that it takes some playing to get used to all the things that are new to me as a BF series player.

I will be testing and checking up on this game and hope we get a squad in this for the fun of FPS gaming.

see ya all on the battlefield boys, this time for the sake of mankind.

Yeah lots of good stuff coming out. I have been playing Fifa 08 but its not a legit version so I can't play online. I would like to get that when it comes out. Good fun. Also Orangebox is coming out and Team Fortress 2 looks AWESOME IMO. I need more funds. That's my issue at the moment.

Check this TF2 vid out. Looks killer.

Keep your FIFA m8, i would very VERY much rather recommend you get Pro evo soccer 08(winnigs eleven it might be called for you)

The gameplay and graphics are far superior to FIFA. check out the pes08 demo tread and see what me and Jarkko has said about it.

My youngest son (a 12 year old counter-strike alien!) just bought this, and i've hardly seen him today!  Graphically very pretty, and some very good features already discussed above.  All in all, very well presented, and looks like fun online (if you like FPS, which i don't  rotfl).

Yes you are very right there. the game should looke better than the demo if judging of some vids.
Good presentation of the game aswell.

been watching over my son's shoulder (just to check the content  ;) ) and it really does look rather good... some innovative weapons and tactics, and very very pretty (as is the game  )
