« on: September 01, 2009, 05:41:15 am »
Tonight I will be flying BlackShark.

So if ya wanna join in you are free to do so.
This will be the tudor night that saturday was supposed to be.
I have my network fixed and people should be able to connect now.

So 1900GMT 2000BST I will be having this session.
Please be on time if you want help with setting up the controls and settings for playing. I would hate to go over the controlls more than once. :)

I will host a simple take-off, fly, search target, test weapons and land at another airport mission. And one night flying mission.

Just to get the feel for the game.....

Enjoy this great vid while you wait.

"Edge" Black Shark, Air combat simulation : DCS

and this, wich might help a bit understand the sim.

First of all.
I envy that rig so fekkin much.
second.
The sim takes some time to get used to. I do not master it really, but I know what to do most of the time. Thats why I will help teaching the bits I know.
it is very sensitive. VERY sensitive, so be easy with the stick.

Yep...im tweeking my sensitivities down! You sure cant ham fist this one! This has been my problem with all our flight sim games. I have been spending more time on a/c control and lose all SA. Im still doing the quick start cheat because its faster to get up and ready and im slowly learning the manual start with a check off sheet.Still have yet to employ weapons so thats next! This is definatly a study sim just like Falcon 4. They are suppose to be releasing a A-10 addon that should be pretty cool too!

We will be using the cheat start up at all times online. I have not planned on using manual start up sequence at all anytime soon even offline.
I find it more intresting to tweak the best way to use each weapon against different enemies. and to learn the use of the enviroment for cover and so on. wich is very very hard.

But I now know how to go from cold to weapons hot and lock down and kill. so thats a start. Thats what I will teach a bit about when we fly tonight.

I can finally print the commands too... was forced to buy ink.. which i found to be stunningly expensive.. so thought.. what the hell..
and bought a Canon Pixma 540 instead buying some horribly expensive ink to my old completely useless pos lexmark.

Cool beans.

I dunno. I do not use the printed commands really. Only read it in PDF and then take note of what I really need atm and then practice it.
But it is helpful nevertheless.

I will recommend as I always do.
Fly through the training and take notes of what the intructor tells you.
It can be boring but you will benefit from it.
