Do we want to carry on using just the TG Test Track for this event?  I'm thinking a few guest tracks might be fun.  Perhaps some of the shorter default GTR2 tracks for starters.

Wotcha reckon?

Definitely could make me join in this fun again. :)
(TG test track has everything i hate in a track.. flat as a pancake, "empty" atmosphere and it aint fun to drive!)

I could see me running different track than this. Gotta agree with Jarkks here.

Could be a very nice idea.
I still like the TG track though.

Yes, dull color scheme, lacking decoration.. it just sucks.. looks like a place where i wouldnt want to stay one second in real life!
Good track atmosphere means the world to me.

I like the layout, and the tracks connection to the show gives it a certain something.  Jarkko's right though, the poor graphics and the lack of elevation are really off-putting, and the track surface lacks any real variation in texture too.

We need VLM to make a TG Test track, that would be a treat!

Anyway.  Looks like Arse in a Reasonably Fast Car is definitely going on tour!  I think I'll announce the tracks beforehand, but still keep the car's secret.

You didn't see the drapes we put up last time did you?  It's based on a televisionshow as they had the ability to test cars to the limit, without beeing boring like "oooo look at this kia rio, it can accelerate just as fast from the lights as that Fiat 500 infront of me... wow!" kinda carshow...
But you are right about the track though, it's just that i'm an avid top gear watcher and somehow i enjoy driving it "like they do on the show"

I don't mind going a bunch of tracks. :) I do like the Top Gear track, but it is much better in rFactor. It looks better and seems to be more accurate. :) I know we want to use default tracks, but how about going to some tracks outside of Europe.

Sounds like it will be great this year!  thumbs up

The atmosphere of SJ's finest sweating like pigs when watched by their friends on a hotlap I meant, but you know that right? Atmosphere. :hats off:

About the Top Gear track: the version used at SJ is 0.5 (don't know the explanation why), while v 1.10 is available for both rfactor as GTR2.

The 0.5 version is a completely different version, built for GTR2.  The v1.10 one is built for rFactor and converted.  The only reason I chose to stick with the one we've been using is cos I liked it better than the rFactor conversion.  And so did my friend Peter!

Anyway...  I've been doing some preparation and I've got a nice Arse Word Tour lined up for this year.
