Very sorry for the confusion everyone.  We've got to the bottom of it now.

The main problem is - you do NOT get a mismatch if you join with a different version of the track.

So - the server was running v 1.0 and I was running v 0.5.  The only symptom was misaligned cars.

----------

Here is the final word:

I would like to use the v0.5 as I think it looks and drives better.  I've asked Giz to put the v 0.5 version on the server, and we will put the v0.5 version in the downloads.

(This is what happens when you let a rank amateur like me loose with organizing an event - sorry!)

Some people say if you look into he's eyes, you'll find the meaning of life.

Others say that if you stand close enough, you'll hear it humm.

Took me 6 laps, 17 cut tracks and 3 times of going back to the track map in the first posts to know where the hell I should go, but once I did......FUN!

Nice lap, Goran...  but I think that car would be classed as extraordinarily fast!

Went without a hitch.. another damned fine evening's entertainment courtesy of the SJ brotherhood.

Kudos to Byron for the concept and the execution.... mind that Tombola is due back tomorrow, don't want any late fees :)

right  this is taken from the file with Byron in it as it seems the event was run a number of times so I'm assuming the one used is the official timings   HERE.

IF it is wanted i can pull the time of people {if there are any} who did not run in the used event  but did in later events therefore everybody is on same first shot time
